RMB Run4Rivers Trail Run event

Water is our most precious resource. And our rivers are the lifeblood upon which our environments and communities thrive. RMB Run4Rivers provides a platform to maintain and protect rivers in the Simonsberg region. Together with Banhoek Conservancy, the race enables the clearing of alien vegetation and the development of new trails to ensure the natural biodiversity can thrive. The event consists of four events, represented by four icons of the Cape Fynbos, symbolic of our unique natural heritage.

Pincushion - 10km
Disa - 5km
Wine Walk 1-2km

For the first time ever, a route will go to the top of the Simonsberg Saddle at Kanonkop.
Plaisir bubbly will be available to Waboom and Pincushion trail runners at the iconic Plaisir frame, and the Waboom runners will return to the finish via the beautiful Groot Rivier trail.

Distances

Waboom 21km
This route will take you the top of Kanonkop with a return via the Groot Rivier trail. Bubbly will be served a the Plaisir frame on the Skytraverse!
Note that this is a strenuous route and should only be attempted by experienced and fit runners.
Pincushion 10km Runners will climb up on the Meulstroom trail to the bubbly point at the Plaisir frame and follow the Skytraverse trail home.
At 450m this route includes a fair amount of elevation and should not be underestimated!
Disa 5km
A less strenuous, though equally stunning route option meandering on the lower slopes of Plaisir perfect for those looking for a fun morning out on the trails.
Wine Walk 1-2km
Stroll, sip and surrender to the beauty of the Plaisir Wine Estate
Not running, but still want to be a part of the action? Join our Wine Walk - a scenic guided stroll through the Plaisir Wine Estate with a glass of wine in hand. Discover our heritage buildings and vineyards alongside our ambassadors, all in support of RMB Run4Rivers.
All proceeds will go to the Banhoek Conservancy
